THE FWY PEAK DISTRICT HIKE
Something a little different is coming to FWY this September.
For the first time, we're taking things off the mat and out into the fresh air, with a guided hike in one of England's most beautiful areas, the Peak District.
BOOK YOUR PLACE
I've been wanting to do something like this for a while.
A chance for us to get together in real life and share something many of you already love doing.
This September, that's exactly what we're doing.
Win Hill is one of the Peak District’s finest stand-alone summits, high above the the Hope Valley.
On our 7-mile walk we'll experience great panoramas of the Peak District’s high edges, plateaus reservoirs and valleys, with good company making every step of it better.

OUR WALK: WIN HILL PIKE
Our walk starts and finishes near Hope and Castleton Villages, from the Bike & Boot Peak District Hotel. We'll ascend through lanes and woodland, climbing onto high moorland before we ascend steeply on a rocky path to a distinctive summit – Win Hill Pike, standing proud above the valley (height: 1516ft/462m). This summit provides a true sense of space and position, high above the valleys and reservoir below. On clear days, panoramic vistas stretch towards Kinder Scout, the Derwent Edges, Mam Tor’s Great Ridge and the neighbouring summit of Lose Hill, with Ladybower Reservoir far below. A lovely descent gradually takes us down to the village of Hope – with views over moorland and valley all the way. There are toilets and a café in Hope too! Walking along lanes and through valley pastures, we eventually join the main road for a short walk along the pavement back to the hotel.

WHO'S INVITED?
This hike is open to all FWY members — and if you'd like to bring a partner, friend or family member along, they are very welcome too.
Just make sure you book a place for each person attending. Our guides are allocated based on the total number of walkers, so every person joining us on the day needs to be registered.
Dogs are welcome to join the adventure too — just keep them on a lead throughout (we are walking in areas with protected wildlife and livestock). Please do bear in mind that the route may include stiles, so worth considering whether your dog is happy to navigate those.

ACCOMMODATION
The walk starts and finishes at the Bike & Boot Peak District Hotel in Hope Valley — a brilliant base for the day, with parking on site and a warm welcome waiting when you return.
If you'd like to make more of the trip, the Bike & Boot has accommodation available to book directly. It's dog friendly. Use code PEAKWALK to get special booking terms.
Hope and Castleton are both within easy reach too, and between them offer a great selection of places to stay.
